Sunday morning.

Eight people from that building were transported to local hospitals, all with not life-threatening injuries.

The source of the carbon monoxide was traced to a furnace in the building.

D.C. fire and EMS remind residents to check that they have working carbon monoxide detectors in their homes.

Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission reports that a crack in the pipe is longer than they expected and repairs will continue into the evening.

WSSC official Luis Maya said they hope to have the water back on for residents around 5 p.m.

Search and Rescue from Prince William, Fairfax, and Charles counties are involved.

Maryland Natural Resources Police say the search is ongoing and that they’ve been on the water since 10 p.m. Saturday.

The victim was identified as James Patrick Morrogh, 61.

The cause of the fire is under investigation but no foul play is suspected. Morrogh’s death appears to have been a result of the fire, according to Prince William County Fire and Rescue.

The fire broke out in a single family home in the 1500 block of Walnut Street in Woodbridge shortly before 6 a.m., authorities say.

Fire crews arrived at the home and found an occupant inside. Morrogh was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.
