Donald Glover is opening up about a recent health scare that forced him to . At the time, he described it as an 鈥渁ilment,鈥� but Glover said Saturday night at a performance that a doctor told him he鈥檇 had a stroke.
Glover, who performs under the moniker , shared the information on stage at Camp Flog Gnaw festival in Los Angeles. His remarks were shared widely on social media.
鈥淵ou guys voted for a 鈥榳here have I been monologue,鈥欌�� Glover, 42, said. 鈥淚 had a really bad pain in my head in Louisiana and I did the show anyway. I couldn鈥檛 really see well, so when we went to Houston, I went to the hospital and the doctor was like, 鈥榊ou had a stroke.鈥欌��
Glover said he felt like he was letting everyone down, lamenting that he still hasn鈥檛 been to Ireland. He also revealed that 鈥渢hey found a hole鈥� in his heart and he had to have two surgeries.
鈥淭hey say everybody has two lives and the second life starts when you realize you have one,鈥� Glover said. 鈥淵ou got one life, guys, and I gotta be honest, the life I鈥檝e lived with you guys has been such a blessing.鈥�
His representatives did not immediately respond to request for comment.
