A complex of thunderstorms with a history of wind damage will move across our area over the next several hours. The highest chance of severe weather will be north of the I 66/Route 50 corridor, where a Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect until 8 pm. Storms will diminish after sunset. There will be a risk of a shower or storm over the southern suburbs on Sunday as a cold front slowly moves southward. Beautiful weather on Monday with cooler temperatures and lower humidity. We will start to warm up again on Tuesday, and Wednesday will be hot and humid with a chance of thunderstorms.

TONIGHT: Widely scattered thunderstorms before midnight. Storms may produce damaging winds and large hail. Partly to mostly cloudy skies overnight with lows in the 60s

SUNDAY: Mostly sunny and hot. Isolated showers and storms, mainly across the southern suburbs. Highs upper 80s to lower 90s

MONDAY: Sunny, cooler and less humid. Highs 80 to 85

TUESDAY: Mostly sunny with highs in the mid to upper 80s

WEDNESDAY: Partly sunny and muggy with a risk of thunderstorms. Highs 85 to 90.
