Man crashes car into Alexandria liquor store

WASHINGTON – A man crashed a vehicle into an Alexandria liquor store Monday afternoon, and police say the man may have been under the influence of alcohol.

A man in his 60s crashed into a Virginia ABC Store in the 4300 block of Duke Street Monday afternoon.

The driver may have been drinking when he crashed into the front display window, said Alexandria Police Department spokeswoman Crystal Nosal.

The driver struck a woman in the arm, and her injuries are minor, Nosal said. The driver, whose name has not yet been released, sustained minor injuries in the crash.

Police are investigating the crash.
