Police seek Metro sexual battery suspect

WASHINGTON — Police are searching for a man wanted for committing sexual battery on an Orange Line train last week.

Around 5:30 p.m. on March 13, a man touched a woman’s buttocks when she sat down on an Orange Line toward New Carrollton. The woman asked the man to stop and moved seats, but the man continued to touch her, according to a police report.

The woman then moved to the center of the train to get away from the suspect.

The suspect exited the train and fled the area. The victim was not injured, police added.

The suspect is described as a black male, with a medium build and shoulder-length dread locks. He wore all black clothing at the time of the incident.

If you have any information about the suspect’s identity or his whereabouts, call Metro Transit police at 301-955-5000.
