Prince George’s County police responded to a crash involving a single car near the intersection of Saint Barnabas Road and 28th Avenue at approximately 3 a.m. Sunday.

The driver, who was the only victim, was pronounced dead at the scene. It remains unknown what triggered the vehicle to leave the eastbound lane and overturn, but an investigation is underway to determine what caused the crash, police told ²ÝÝ®´«Ã½.

A 2013 Jeep Wrangler was traveling south on Ridge Road (Route 27) at Morning Star Drive when it left the roadway for unknown reasons before 11:43 p.m., .

Police said passenger Marryann Hardesty, 18, of Germantown, died at the scene. The driver, Dylan Bansi, 20, of Germantown died at a hospital.

All northbound traffic on the parkway was diverted to Greenbelt Road, at which point the ²ÝÝ®´«Ã½ Traffic Center reported Route 1 and Interstate 95 were viable options for drivers.

Two men and two women were shot about 8:30 p.m. on Orange Street Southeast.

One victim is said to be unconscious and not breathing, and all four have been taken to a nearby hospital to treat their injuries.

Police didn’t provide information on a known suspect or motive.

Prince George’s County police said officers responded to the 7900 block of 14th Avenue around 10:30 p.m.

There, they found a man on the ground suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say they identified two other victims who were taken to the hospital.

Authorities are working to establish a motive and suspects but don’t believe the shooting to be random.

Three men were wounded in a shooting in the 1600 block of Maryland Avenue Northeast. One was unconscious and not breathing, and the other two were conscious and breathing, police said.

Following a different shooting in the 5400 block of Georgia Avenue Northwest, three men and a 15-year-old were all conscious and breathing, police said.

Police officers responded to reports of gunshots in the 3000 block of Columbia Pike in Arlington, between South Walter Reed Drive and Glebe Road, at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday, the Arlington County Police Department said.

A man was later found dead with multiple gunshot wounds inside his vehicle nearby, in the 3200 block of Columbia Pike, in the Westmont neighborhood. On Sunday afternoon, they identified the man as Donovan A. Green Jr., 21, of Upper Marlboro, Md.

Two other people took themselves to a hospital for non life-threatening injuries, said police.

Police say the man was driving southbound on Brandywine Road just after 10 p.m. before he went off the road and hit a tree near Piscataway Creek in Clinton.

The man was identified as . He was pronounced dead on the scene, according to police.

There were no other passengers in the car at the time of the crash. The investigation is ongoing.

It happened at the Capitol Heights Metro station around 8 p.m. Thursday.

Metro Transit police and Prince George’s County first responders were called for a reported stabbing. They found a man and a teenage boy with stab wounds. The victims were found on a train, .

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The teen was taken to the hospital with critical injuries,.

Police took a 23-year-old suspect into custody, and a knife has been recovered. Police said they are not looking for other suspects at this time.

The station was closed while police investigated.

Two people are dead and a third person is in the hospital after a two-vehicle crash in Brandywine, Maryland, early Friday, Prince George’s County police said.

The crash happened around 1:20 a.m. Friday in the 14500 block of Brandywine Road, police said.

One of the drivers who was killed in the crash has been identified as Tammy Linkous, 52, of Harwood, Maryland. The other driver has not been identified yet since their car was engulfed in flames after the crash, police said. Police did not name Linkous’ passenger who was injured.

Police believe the unnamed driver of the Honda, who was traveling northbound on Brandywine Road, crossed the double yellow lines into the southbound lanes and crashed into Linkous.

That driver and Linkous were pronounced dead on the scene. Linkous’ passenger was taken to a hospital with what police said were injuries that were not life-threatening.

Investigators are still trying to work out why the Honda driver crossed the double lines.

Due to the crash investigation, Brandywine Road was closed between North Keys Road and Lee Acres Drive for several hours on Friday.
