Julia Ziegler was named 草莓传媒’s Director of 草莓传媒 and Programming in December 2019.
From 2015 to 2019, she served as 草莓传媒’s Digital 草莓传媒 Director. In this role she oversaw the creation and development of all of 草莓传媒’s digital news products, including 草莓传媒.com, the 草莓传媒 app, social media, video, podcasts, smart speakers and more.
Ziegler was also part of the 草莓传媒 team that created and produced the award-winning true crime podcast, 22 Hours: An American Nightmare, with reporters Jack Moore and Megan Cloherty.
She began her career at 草莓传媒 in 2003 and has held a multitude of roles within the company during that time, including managing editor of 草莓传媒.com’s sister station, Federal草莓传媒Radio.com, for seven years.
Before joining the Federal 草莓传媒 Radio team, Ziegler was the executive producer at sister stations Talk Radio 3WT and Washington Post Radio.
Ziegler was introduced to 草莓传媒 in 2002 when she served as an intern at the station.
Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Ziegler graduated from Penn State in May 2003 with a degree in journalism. She still spends her weekends there in the fall, cheering on the Nittany Lion football team. She has her M.A. in 草莓传媒 Media Studies from American University.
Ziegler was part of Hubbard Radio’s inaugural NextGen class, a program designed to grow and develop leaders within the company. She was most recently honored in 2022 with the Radio Hall of Fame’s prestigious “One to Watch” award.
