Redskins-themed restaurant coming to Ashburn

WASHINGTON — “Hail + Hog Kitchen & Tap” opens this spring at .

Houston-based operator (g3), which runs restaurants in Columbus, Ohio, Pittsburgh, Indianapolis and Houston, including sports-themed restaurants for the Colts and Texans, will create the Ashburn, Virginia facility.

The 12,000-square-foot restaurant will actually be two restaurants; a more traditional restaurant on the first floor and a full-blown sports bar on the second floor.

The name pays homage to “Hail to the Redskins” and “The Hogs,” the Redskins storied offensive line in the 1980s and 1990s.

“We cannot wait to debut our chef-inspired American fare menu paired with awesome drinks in this really spectacular facility,” said g3 Restaurants President Marc Buehler.

“We have gone to extraordinary lengths to tie the Redskins brand into this truly fan friendly one-of-a-kind experience.”

The restaurant’s first floor will include a radio and television studio for Redskins broadcasts.

The second floor will have “wall-to-wall next generation 4K televisions,” a roof top bar and a fire pit, g3 says.

One Loudoun is located at Va. 7 and the Loudoun County Parkway, three miles from Dulles International Airport.
