Lyft will open regional headquarters in Arlington

WASHINGTON — San Francisco-based ride-hailing service Lyft will establish a mid-Atlantic regional headquarters in Arlington, creating 32 new jobs.

Lyft will invest $350,000 to establish its new regional headquarters in Crystal City.

“Lyft is thrilled to open our new office in the emerging innovation center of Crystal City,” said Lyft General Manager Steve Taylor. “Building a strong presence in the D.C. area is crucial to Lyft’s growth.”

Lyft is Uber’s biggest competitor.

It launched in 2012 and Lyft drivers are now available in more than 200 U.S. cities.
