REI sets April 25 opening at Pike & Rose

WASHINGTON — Sports outfitter REI will open its newest Washington-area store at North Bethesda’s retail development on April 25.

It is an expansion and relocation of its previous store in Rockville.

REI joins Gap, Lucky Brand, Nike and an iPic Theater, and restaurants that include Summer House Santa Monica, Del Frisco’s, Stella Barra Pizzeria, City Perch, Tutti Frutti, & pizza and others.

Last fall, REI opened a flagship store in Northeast D.C. near the NoMa-Gallaudet Metro station.

REI also has stores in Woodbridge, Fairfax, Bailey’s Crossroads and Tysons Corner in Virginia, and in Columbia, Maryland, though REI closed its store in College Park, Maryland, earlier this year.

Pike & Rose will also get a 22,000 square-foot, two-level L.L. Bean store this fall, its second in the Washington area. There is also an L.L. Bean in Tysons Corner.
