WASHINGTON — Live! Casino at Arundel Mills is almost ready for its first guests at its newly-constructed hotel.

The 310-room, 17-story hotel is the tallest building in Anne Arundel County, and will open May 22, and is now accepting reservations. Rooms start at around $200 a night, according to the booking section of its website.

Live! owner and developer Cordish Companies’ new hotel is part of a larger, $200 million expansion that also includes a concert venue.

The rooms are described by Cordish as lavish, with a mix of modern style and chic, urban flare.

The hotel also includes a 24-hour restaurant called David’s, The Lobby Bar at David’s, a coffee, pastry and gelato bar Luckies. It also has a spa, fitness center and beauty salon.

The hotel’s Grand Event Center, a 20,000-square-foot event space and a 1,500 seat concert hall, will open in June. A Phase 2 expansion will double the size of meeting space when completed next year.

Live! Casino has a second hotel, Live Lofts!, a renovation of an existing hotel into a boutique hotel nearby.

Live! Casino will mark its sixth anniversary next month. The casino generated $47 million from tis slots and table games in March, up about 1 percent from a year ago.
