WASHINGTON 鈥� With only a few more days until Christmas, last-minute shoppers are running out of time to ship packages and still arrive in time for Christmas morning.
Monday is the busiest delivery day of the year. For gift-givers who want those presents and cards to arrive by Christmas Eve, you鈥檝e already missed the U.S. Postal Service deadline for first class mail.
But shipping by priority mail is still an option. by Wednesday, Dec. 23 will be delivered by Christmas Day.
Wednesday is also the last day to ship all UPS packages by next day air.
But the very last option would be service, available in select cities including D.C., every day of the year 鈥� even Christmas. But be prepared to pay a lot more for the convenience.

Some retailers are still offering free shipping and guaranteed delivery by Christmas Eve. Most placed by Tuesday morning qualify.
