7 items to buy now and store until next summer

Summer is almost over. School is back in session in many districts, and the weather is going to start getting cooler.

That means stores will have in an effort to unload them. Take advantage by snapping these things up at a low price now and storing them in your garage or closet until next summer.

If you’re firing up the grill and looking for some fun wines to share with family, friends and neighbors this weekend — or anytime this summer — here are a couple of really delicious and affordable red wines to serve. (Thinkstock)
Grills. Visit your nearest home improvement or home goods store, and you’re likely to start seeing markdown tags on grills now that the major grilling holidays are over. Expect deals of 20 percent to 50 percent off. You’ll see even more grill sales over Labor Day weekend.
