Loudoun transit launches real-time bus tracker

WASHINGTON — Loudoun County Transit is launching a new real-time arrival service that will help riders know when to expect their buses.

Similar to , riders can see estimated arrival times for Loudoun County’s commuter buses that serve Rosslyn, Crystal City, the Pentagon and D.C. in addition to routes to and from Wiehle-Reston East and West Falls Church.

The bus system had provided delay updates by email.

The will show real-time data up to 30 minutes out, with scheduled times displayed 30 to 45 minutes before their scheduled departures or arrivals.

Fairfax Connector has been working to bring a similar service to its riders, but the program is still in the installation and testing phase.
