WASHINGTON 鈥� One lane of U.S. 1 is open in each direction after a morning water main break in Hyattsville, Maryland.
Work is underway to fix the problem聽U.S. 1/Baltimore Avenue at Longfellow Street.
Louis Maya of the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission said it could be聽an all-day project.
“You know, it varies. It can take … the entire day. We don’t know until we get down to the pipe, until we shut it down and start digging,” he said.
As of early Monday, Maya says they’re not sure how many WSCC customers will be without water once the water main is shut down.
