WASHINGTON — It was a violent weekend in the District. At least 14 people are recovering from stab or gunshot wounds and one person is deadÌýafter multiple shootings and twoÌýquadruple stabbings.
Seven people were wounded in five separate shootings early Saturday morning, .
One man was shot in the leg in the 3800 block of 8th Street in Southeast around 12:10 a.m.; a man was shot in the arm in the 2700 block of Martin Luther King Jr. in Southeast around 1:15 a.m.; a man was shot in the foot in the 300 block of Upshur Street in Northwest around 1:20 a.m.; three people were shot around 2:15 a.m. in the 1000 block of Irving Street in Southwest; and one man was shot in the back in the 800 block of Chesapeake Street in Southeast.
The suspect in the Chesapeake Street shooting may have been driving a white Chrysler with Maryland license plates, NBC Washington reports.
On Sunday, there were in Northwest, D.C.
One person wasÌýcritically injured and one has died inÌýa quadruple stabbing that happenedÌýjust before 9:25 p.m. in the area of T Street Northwest between 14th and 15th streets, just south of the U Street corridor.Ìý
D.C. Police spokeswoman Aquita Brown said Monday a female victim died, the Associated Press reports.
Police did not release any details about the other two people who were stabbed in this incident. One person was stopped and detained at the scene.
Earlier in the day, four people were stabbed around 2 a.m. along 7th Street Northwest between the Gallery Place Metro and Mount Vernon Square.
Ìýpolice do have someone in custody; theÌývictims have not been identified.
