WASHINGTON — The hits keep coming for Metro. Some of its older railcars  and, earlier this year, after smoke filled a train near the L’Enfant Plaza station.
On Tuesday, Metro rider Arnebya Herndon saw a 5-foot-long black snake eating a bird at the Naylor Road stop on the Green Line.

Metro spokesman Dan Stessel that the snake didn’t cause any delays, and that it was unclear how it got into the station. A station manager closed off the area where the snake was spotted. It was captured using a trash can.
