WASHINGTON 鈥斅燨ne聽man is dead and two others injured after a botched robbery resorted to聽gunfire Saturday in Northeast D.C., police say.
The shooting happened shortly after 1 a.m. in聽the 700 block of H Street, where police found聽three men suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Police say聽Jerome Leroy Wright, 32, of Northeast, tried to rob the two others, triggering a聽shootout.
Despite lifesaving efforts, Wright聽died at the scene.
Two survivors were taken to local hospitals.
