WASHINGTON 鈥� AT&T customers in D.C. and parts of Virginia and Maryland were unable to make 911 calls from their cellphones for nearly two hours on Wednesday night.
D.C.’s Office of United Communications reported 911 issues at around 9 p.m. AT&T acknowledged that customers around the country were experiencing issues calling 911 and had reportedly restored service聽around 10:30 p.m.
Issue has been resolved that affected some calls to 911 from wireless customers. We apologize to those who were affected.

In the area, AT&T customers were affected in D.C.; Alexandria and Prince William County in Virginia; and Baltimore City, Charles, Montgomery and Prince George’s counties in Maryland.
The Federal Communications Commission is looking into the cause and impact of the outages, Chairman Ajit Pai tweeted Wednesday night.

The outages affected customers in other parts of the country, including Texas, Indiana and Florida.
