Repair work causes water outage in Northeast DC

Repairs to a broken water main will leave some residents in Northeast D.C. without water for several hours Friday morning. Here’s what you need to know.

DC Water crews are repairing a broken 8-inch water main located on 18th Street NE between Otis Street and Randolph Street. Work is also being done on Randolph Street NE between 18th Street and 17th Street.

An emergency water outage alert about the repairs was sent out 

A spokesperson with DC Water told ²ÝÝ®´«Ã½ that 75 homes would be affected by the outage. 

Areas affected include Otis Street, Randolph Street, 18th Street, 17th Street and 17th Place near the Sojourner Truth School. 

Residents can expect their water to be turned back between 9-11 a.m.
