Police looking for car in Northeast DC shooting that killed 1, wounded 3

One person was killed, and three others were hospitalized after a shooting in Northeast D.C.

It happened on Tuesday just after 12:15 p.m. on the 4000 block of Benning Road near Fort Mahan Park. Police found two men and two women who had been shot. One of the men was dead, and authorities took his body to the medical examiner’s office. Police identified him as Terrell Coghill, 29, of Northwest.

The three others were taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, a D.C. police news release said.

Police are looking for a white Lexus IS350 with possible damage to the bottom of the front passenger door.
