WASHINGTON 鈥 If you want to live in the world of 鈥淢agic Mike,鈥 you鈥檒l only have to wait about a year 鈥 and head to Las Vegas.
Channing Tatum has announced the live Las Vegas version of his two movies about the male-stripper world with a video on Cosmopolitan鈥檚 YouTube channel filled with muscular, scantily-clad men, as well as humor and puppies.
As Tatum strolls through 鈥渕y house filled with hot men that I live with every day,鈥 he recounts the thought process behind the next step for the 鈥淢agic Mike鈥 franchise.
鈥3D hasn鈥檛 been cool since 鈥楢vatar鈥,鈥 he muses, before considering a virtual-reality version, then channeling Justin Timberlake in 鈥淭he Social Network鈥 鈥斅犫淲hat if you just dropped the 鈥榲irtual?鈥 Magic Mike 鈥 reality.鈥
After an R-rated nod to the iconic line from 鈥淔ield of Dreams鈥 that you can probably work out for yourself, Tatum announces that the show will open at the Las Vegas Hard Rock Caf茅 in March 2017. Tatum tells The Associated Press that he won’t appear in聽the show himself.
At last, Tatum says, women will get 鈥渢he same options as men have been given for centuries,鈥 proclaiming that the Vegas show will create 鈥渢he first gentle ladies club. Or 鈥 maybe not so gentle; depends what you鈥檙e into.鈥 He solicits suggestions for the show in the comments.
Then come the puppies.
