WASHINGTON 鈥� Police in Virginia say they’ve arrested a knife-wielding man found聽wandering in a field near an elementary school Thursday.
The incident happened near聽Oakton Elementary School at around 12:30 p.m. Teachers notified police about a man they spotted near聽school grounds with a knife.
When Fairfax County police arrived, officers聽discovered聽a blue station wagon parked behind the school. The vehicle was running, but no one was inside, police said.聽William James Przystup, 32, of Oakton, was later found laying in a tall grassy field behind the school.
Police allege聽that聽Przystup had a knife.
Przystup was charged with possession of a weapon on school property. He was taken to the Adult Detention Center and is being held without bail.
