WASHINGTON — A fire at Tysons Corner Center was under control as of 7:30 p.m. Friday, according to the Fairfax County Fire Department.

Crews were called the mall to battle a three-alarm fire after 6 p.m. It had originally been referred to as a “two-alarm” before it was upgraded.

Photos posted on Twitter showed smoke coming from the mall.

The AMC wing of the mall was evacuated, according to fire department’s . Restaurants and shops in the area of the fire were “closed until further notice,” according to the mall’s Twitter account.

The fire department says the flames started in a restaurant on the ground floor, and spread to the roof. No injuries were reported.
