Fairfax Co. police continue search for driver from fatal hit-and-run

WASHINGTON — Police will return to the area of a hit-and-run accident in Reston, Virginia, that involved a 76-year-old pedestrian to find more information. Detectives from the Crash Reconstruction Unit of Fairfax County police will be around North Shore Drive and Village Road at about 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 4, to talk to residents.

The pedestrian, who has been identified as Hung Soon Seo, was struck around 5:15 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 28, at the intersection of North Shore Drive and Village Road, police said. She died hours later at a hospital.

Fairfax County police officer Megan Hawkins says, at the time of the accident, the pedestrian was crossing North Shore Drive, but was not on a crosswalk when she was hit.

Initially, police were searching for a  that was thought to be involved in the crash. Police then said the driver of the Nissan might have been .

Now police are searching for a  that is believed to have struck the pedestrian.
