WASHINGTON 鈥� Police arrested two brothers they say were involved in a fatal stabbing in Manassas over the weekend.
Around 5 a.m. Saturday, Manassas City police responded to the 9700 block of Bragg Lane, where they found a man suffering from a stab wound. The victim, later identified as 24-year-old Elvin Ulises Reyes-Reyes, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said Reyes-Reyes approached a group of people inside a residence in the 9700 block of Bragg Lane, and there was a verbal altercation. The argument escalated and, outside the residence, 27-year-old Erick Moises Romero stabbed Reyes-Reyes, according to police.
A second suspect involved in the stabbing聽was identified as Romero’s brother, 23-year-old Richard Gamaliel Romero Sorto.
On Monday afternoon, police arrested the brothers. Romero is being charged with 2nd degree murder and聽possession of a knife in the commission of a felony. Romero Sorto is being charged with 2nd degree murder.
Both are聽being held without bond ahead of聽their separate聽court dates set for Dec. 29.
