WASHINGTON — Sure, people can order bacon on pizza, but a new Little Caesars creation is taking it a step further for those with a penchant for pork.
The pizza chain unveiled plans Wednesday to roll out bacon-wrapped pizza crust. The limited-offer Bacon Wrapped Crust Deep! Deep! Dish Pizza will cost $12 and is one of the Little Caesars priciest menu options, .
In case bacon wrapped around the crust isn’t enough, bacon is sprinkled on top of cheese and pepperoni, too.
“Every time you take a bite out of the crust, you’ll get bacon,” David Scrivano, CEO at Little Caesars, said to USA TODAY.
The promotion replaces the chain’s Soft Pretzel Crust Pizza.
Indulging in a piece comes with a hefty nutritional cost: a single slice is 450 calories; 23 grams of fat; 830 milligrams of sodium and 40 milligrams of cholesterol.
The pizza will be available beginning Feb. 23.
