WASHINGTON — The second that last trick-or-treater vacates the streets, store displays and TV commercials will launch into full-on holiday mode — so please excuse this Christmas post in mid-October. But Derek Brown is bringing his back to D.C. this December, and based on last year’s crowds, the early notice is to your advantage.
On Friday, Nov. 25, the day after Thanksgiving, Brown will once again transform his Shaw sherry bar, , into a winter wonderland, called Miracle on Seventh Street.
This year, Brown’s adjoining bars, Eat the Rich and Southern Efficiency, will join in on the festive fun, allowing more spirit-seekers to partake in the pop-up.
Expect a carefully crafted holiday-themed food and cocktail menu for the pop-up (beer cocktails will even make an appearance this year), as well as over-the-top decorations, such as a dreidel chandelier, twinkle lights and gold-painted dinosaurs wearing Santa hats.
Miracle on Seventh Street will be open through New Year’s Eve.
