In a national category with four other restaurants, Aaron Silverman鈥檚 Pineapple and Pearls was nominated for Best New Restaurant. of Centrolina and Tom Cunanan of will go head-to-head in the 鈥淏est Chef mid-Atlantic鈥� category, and Mark Furstenberg (Bread Furst) was nominated for Outstanding Baker.聽
Nora Pouillon () is the recipient of the 2017 James Beard Foundation Lifetime Achievement Award.聽In October, 2016, Poulillon her 38-year-old Dupont Circle restaurant, which was the first organic restaurant in the U.S.
