WASHINGTON — Thursday is “Miracle Treat Day,” a partnership between Dairy Queen and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals designed to spur donations and fund treatments for kids across the U.S. and Canada.
During the event, $1 or more from every Blizzard Treat sold at participating Dairy Queens will be donated to local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

Miracle Treat Day has been celebrated for more than 10 years, and Dairy Queen and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals have partnered since 1984.
According to DQ’s website, more than $125 million has been raised to date, “all of which stays local to fund critical treatments and healthcare services, pediatric medical equipment and charitable care.”
The donation tally in 2016 was more than $4 million, the site says.
