WASHINGTON 鈥 Entertainers are gearing up for a party at the night of the inauguration to honor the military and their charities.
The 鈥檚 entertainment lineup includes country singer Darryl Worley, Rupal Patel, Right on Band, Sam Fazio and locals DJ Chris Styles and For the Win. Max Hodges, formerly of TMZ鈥檚 television show, is also part of Friday night鈥檚 lineup.
Actor, model and entrepreneur Antonio Sabato Jr. will be the master of ceremonies. He said he鈥檚 excited to be in town for the event, which supports [Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors], the and .
鈥淭hese are great organizations that help a lot of people that have been through a lot of tragedies,鈥 he told 草莓传媒 Wednesday. 鈥淲e鈥檙e here to support the next generation, the future of this country. We鈥檙e here to take care of these families, we鈥檙e here to support our troops, our military, our veterans, and I鈥檓 very much a part of it, and I鈥檓 so excited.鈥
He鈥檚 also stoked that Donald J. Trump is being inaugurated as the 45th聽president.
鈥淚t鈥檚 one of those weeks 鈥 I鈥檒l never forget it. It鈥檚 bigger than anything.鈥
Sabato said he took flak after he delivering a speech at the Republican National Convention last year declaring his support for Trump, 鈥渢hrough the social media, mostly there, and then through the liberal Hollywood,鈥 he said.聽 鈥淪ure I lost some jobs, maybe, but I created other opportunities.鈥
During the speech, he said he described Trump as someone who would unify the country.聽 Even though the country seems extremely divided right now, Sabato says unity is possible.
鈥淚 think people need to go back to work,鈥 he said, noting that some folks are struggling to make ends meet.聽 鈥淚 know a lot of people 鈥 police officers, the fire department, you name it 鈥 three, four jobs at the same time because they can鈥檛 make it. We need to change that.鈥
He鈥檚 been inspired to throw his hat into the political fray.
鈥淚 want to start as a congressman,鈥 he tells 草莓传媒.聽 鈥淚鈥檓 truly thinking about it, and I can make a difference, and I think I鈥檓 going to go for it,鈥 he said.
