UPDATE 11:50 p.m. 2/3/2015: that the man has died.
EARLIER: WASHINGTON — A man was hospitalized Tuesday after being shot along East Capitol Street in the District. He’s in critical condition.
The Metropolitan Police Departments聽says the man was shot around 4:15 p.m. about a mile west of the Benning Road metro station.
He was unconscious when taken to the hospital.
Detectives are investigating.
