Second toddler dies in Loudoun County drowning

WASHINGTON — The twin brother of a 2-year-old girl who drowned in a backyard pool Saturday in Sterling, Virginia has now died, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.

Liam Aristhomene , Kaydan. Both children were discovered unconscious in the Acorn Court pool by their mother, Saturday morning.

“Circumstances remain under investigation, but all indications are this was a tragic accident,” said sheriff’s spokesman Kraig Troxell, who declined to name the children’s mother, since she faces no criminal charges.

A family friend has established a to pay for funeral costs for the children.
