WASHINGTON — A woman from Olney died Sunday after聽her聽SUV crashed into a utility pole near Ashton.
Police and fire and rescue personnel responded to the crash at 8 a.m., in the 300 block of Olney-Sandy Spring Road.
Ioanna Kaskasian, 41, of the 18900 block of Bloomfield Road, was driving a Honda CRV west on Olney-Sandy Spring Road, where she struck a utility pole,聽聽Montgomery County police said.
Kaskasian聽succumbed to her injuries at a local聽hospital.
Police said it’s unclear why her vehicle left the roadway.
