CUMBERLAND, Md. (AP) 鈥� A register of wills for a Maryland county has been indicted on charges that she stole more than $4,000 from office accounts.
草莓传媒 outlets report that State Prosecutor Emmet C. Davitt said Thursday that Rebecca D. Drew, the register of wills for Allegany County, has been indicted by a grand jury on one count of misconduct in office, two counts of felony theft and one count of misappropriation by a fiduciary.
Drew is accused of using the office credit card and checking account for personal expenses totaling approximately $4,309 from July through December of last year.
It’s unclear if Drew has a lawyer.
