Hogan says Roy Moore ‘should step aside’

WASHINGTON — Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan tweeted Saturday that Roy Moore, the Republican nominee for Alabama senator, “should step aside.”

that an Alabama woman said Moore had sexual contact with her when she was 14-years-old and he was a 32-year-old assistant district attorney. There have been reports alleging similar stories from other women since.

The tweet from Hogan comes after Steve Bannon, President Donald Trump’s former chief strategist, slammed reports from The Washington Post, and called the news site an “apparatus of the Democratic Party” in relation to the allegations against Moore.

Meanwhile, Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders told reporters that a “mere allegation” shouldn’t ruin a person’s life, while also stating that if the allegations are true, Moore should remove himself from the race.

Moore denied the allegations during an interview with radio host Sean Hannity.
