WASHINGTON — Drivers on the Beltway in Maryland got a fright early New Year鈥檚 morning after a teenage boy fell off a bridge and onto the roadway.
The Outer Loop was briefly shut down near Old Georgetown Road around 2 a.m.
Pete Piringer, with Montgomery County Fire and Rescue, says the teenager was on a pedestrian bridge before falling onto the highway.
He鈥檚 been taken to the hospital with very serious injuries.
