WASHINGTON 鈥� Repairs on a听12-inch water main in听Langley Park, Maryland听have spurred road closures that will linger beyond听the听Monday morning commute, Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission听officials said Sunday night.
The repairs, set to begin at 9 a.m., will impact听traffic heading听east and west on University Boulevard, between Piney Branch Road and New Hampshire Avenue.
Officials say two eastbound and two westbound lanes will be closed for repaving.
The restoration work started Sunday morning but left a large part of the road damaged.
As a result, the repair work is expected to last at least听two days, WSSC officials said.
