WSSC: Repair work will affect Monday morning commute near Langley Park

WASHINGTON — Repairs on aÌý12-inch water main inÌýLangley Park, MarylandÌýhave spurred road closures that will linger beyondÌýtheÌýMonday morning commute, Washington Suburban Sanitary CommissionÌýofficials said Sunday night.

The repairs, set to begin at 9 a.m., will impactÌýtraffic headingÌýeast and west on University Boulevard, between Piney Branch Road and New Hampshire Avenue.

Officials say two eastbound and two westbound lanes will be closed for repaving.

The restoration work started Sunday morning but left a large part of the road damaged.

As a result, the repair work is expected to last at leastÌýtwo days, WSSC officials said.
