LIVINGSTON, La. (AP) 鈥� A Montgomery County Schools employee is one of four applicants to be interviewed for a Louisiana school district聽superintendent position June 9.
The Livingston Parish School Board in Livingston, Louisiana, will hold a special meeting June 9 to interview four candidates, one of whom is Arronza LaBatt,聽 executive director to the deputy superintendent of schools for Montgomery County Schools in Maryland.
The Advocate reports (http://bit.ly/1O7snZB) the board hopes to announce a successor to retiring Superintendent John Watson before July 1. Watson’s last day will be June 30.
The other applicants are:
鈥擡lizabeth “Liz” Swinford, superintendent of schools/consultant for the Tuscaloosa County School System in Alabama.
鈥擬ark Torbert, principal at South Terrebonne High School.
鈥擱ick Wentzel, assistant superintendent of school operations for Livingston Parish public schools.
