His latest, 鈥淒addy,鈥� has all the requisite Psy ingredients: Ludicrous dancing (including with a child and senior version of himself), particularly the signature move; laugh-out-loud lyrics (鈥淵ou be my curry 鈥� I鈥檒l be your rice鈥�); several hundred settings and locations (this number may be exaggerated) (then again it may not); and a hook you鈥檒l no doubt remember for months after you want to.
CL, from the Korean girl-group NE1 makes a cameo, asking Psy, 鈥淲here鈥檇 you get that body from?鈥� That opens the door for Psy to answer, 鈥淚 got it from my daddy.鈥� Several dozen times.
Will it be another 鈥淕angnam Style,鈥� with its record 2.5 billion YouTube views? Well, no video from Psy will ever have the 鈥淒id that really just happen?鈥� appeal of his first hit. But 鈥淒addy鈥� has more than 14 million views on its third day, so he shouldn鈥檛 be counted out.
