WASHINGTON 鈥� Metallica starts its聽World Wired Tour on Wednesday night at Baltimore鈥檚 M&T Bank Stadium, but you can get a glimpse of what the band’s聽got in store Tuesday night online.
The band will run through four songs, including their new single 鈥淣ow That We鈥檙e Dead,鈥� in a rehearsal at the stadium called 鈥淣ow That We鈥檙e Live,鈥� which will be posted on and streamed on at 9 p.m. Viewers will also be asked to contribute to the band鈥檚 , which supports several charities, food banks and music education programs.
One of the band鈥檚 managers said that this would be the band鈥檚 first streamed rehearsal. They鈥檝e broadcast preshow jams and warmup sessions, said Marc Reiter, but 鈥渢his is a true rehearsal in a concert setting, where the band are feeling out their new stage for the upcoming stadium tour, and inviting the fans to have a brief look at the process.鈥�
As for the timing of the rehearsal, Reiter said, 鈥淭onight is the final rehearsal before the first show of the summer tour, so if they鈥檙e not ready now 鈥︹��
