Active shooter reported at Pittsburgh synagogue

WASHINGTON — Police are responding to an active shooting situation near a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania synagogue.

Pittsburgh police were responding Saturday to reports of an armed person in Pittsburgh’s Squirrel Hill neighborhood. The neighborhood is home to the Tree of Life Congregation Synagogue.

A tweet from Pittsburgh officials confirmed an ongoing situation in the area of Wilkins Avenue and Shady Avenue.
