WASHINGTON – The University of Maryland women’s basketball team lost to the UConn Huskies, 81-58, in Tampa Sunday night in the NCAA women’s national semifinal.
Maryland finishes the season at 34-3; their 28-game winning streak was snapped in their second straight appearance in the Final Four.
UConn, winners of 36 in a row, will play Notre Dame on Tuesday in Tampa, looking for their third straight title.
