D.C. taps restaurants for government center

The D.C. government has tapped two restaurants to occupy space in the Minnesota-Benning Government Center, in a move that could foretell how restaurants are encouraged in the neighborhood around St. Elizabeths Hospital, .

The restaurants that will open at the home of the Department of Employment Services are Eclectic Café, a new restaurant concept from the former owners of East River Bagel on Minnesota Avenue, and Cohn’s Hospitality and Management Academy, a café and job training program founded by restaurateur Paul J. Cohn. Cohn’s company Capital Restaurant Concepts operates J. Paul’s and Georgia Brown’s.
