WASHINGTON – Some of the most important exhibits at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum could be in jeopardy.
reports that many of the museum’s artifacts are on loan from Poland under 20-year contracts that have since expired.
The museum is negotiating to keep the wooden barracks from Auschwitz, which operators say is crucial to the museum’s narrative.
The Post says the museum has returned objects in the past, or exchanged existing materials for other pieces.
