WASHINGTON – When tornadoes warnings loom, there is only one thing to do: Take cover at some of the region’s best events. Consider redecorating your home, eat some maple syrup and stop by the U.S. premiere of a Frida Kahlo exhibit.
With the weather inching closer to spring, what better time to think about redecorating your home or sprucing up your garden? Luckily, the comes to Chantilly this weekend. Friday, Saturday and Sunday, local experts offer advice and ideas for do-it-yourself home projects. It will be held at the Dulles Expo Center and tickets cost $7 for adults and $3 for kids 6 to 12 years old. Children under 5 get in for free.
This weekend, Artisphere kicks off the U.S. premiere of As the only American venue presenting 240 images from the artist’s personal collection, the show opened Thursday night to a packed house. For those who missed opening night, the exhibit will be on display through March 25. Friday night there will be a screening of the featuring Kahlo.
