WASHINGTON – The weather might be improving, but there is still no relief from rising prices at the pump.
The latest 草莓传媒 Pain in the Gas survey shows the average price of a gallon of regular went up by 3 cents to $3.81 over the past week. It’s 26 cents a gallon higher than one year ago.
Mid-grade is up by 5 cents to $3.97 a gallon. Premium is up by a penny to $4.10, and diesel is up 3 cents to $4.15 a gallon.
The average for regular fuel this week is cheapest in Virginia, where regular goes for $3.73. That compares to $3.80 in Maryland and $3.92 in the District.

One year ago on March 10, 2011, 草莓传媒’s gas survey found the price of gas to be $3.55 a gallon for regular unleaded, $3.71 a gallon for mid-grade and $3.81 a gallon for premium.
