WASHINGTON – Just ahead of the holidays, gas prices continue to rise.
The latest 草莓传媒 Pain in the Gas survey shows in the past week the average price of a gallon of unleaded regular is up 4 cents to $4.11. Compared to the same week a year ago, gas prices increased 29 cents.
In the last week, mid-grade jumped 3 cents to $4.29 a gallon. Premium rose 4 cents to $4.41 a gallon. Diesel prices reached $4.23 a gallon, up 3 cents.
The average for unleaded regular fuel this week is cheapest in Maryland, where regular is $4.04 a gallon, which compares to $4.06 a gallon in Virginia and $4.22 a gallon in the District.
On April 7, 2011, 草莓传媒’s gas survey found a gallon of regular unleaded to be $3.82 a gallon. Mid-grade rose 14 cents to $4.02 a gallon, while premium increased 11 cents to $4.12 a gallon.
