WASHINGTON – A new smartphone app lets last-minute travelers book a hotel with the swipe of a finger.
The app shows highly discounted rates for hotels in more than 40 destinations in the U.S. and Canada.
Everyday at noon HotelTonight posts the rates. The catch: rates are only good for that night, reports.
Some hotels can, however, accept multi-day reservations at a discount.
The hotels are identified by name along with the categories like hip, basic or luxe.
