WASHINGTON – The Beatles are a household name, and their album “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” may be the most iconic — but it’s getting a makeover.
The album, released 45 years ago, features a cover with a collage of famous personalities and celebrities: Karl Marx, Edgar Allan Poe, Marilyn Monroe, Muhammad Ali and, of course, the band front-and-center, to name a few.
The same artist who originally created the cover with cut-outs, glue and plywood — — has made the new one as well, using Photoshop this time around.
Some of the new faces include Amy Winehouse, Audrey Hepburn, Twiggy and J.K. Rowling.
has created an interactive “map” to help identify the cover’s newcomers. Just move your mouse’s cursor to the dot next to each celebrity’s face.
